What is Technological Quartz?

extensive range of colors, designs, sizes, thicknesses and ornamentations. It is the ideal product for kitchen countertops, floors, walls and all kinds of indoor surfaces that have to withstand intensive use.

Is Technological Quartz a natural stone material or is it synthetic?

COMPAC Technological Quartz is composed of 93-95% natural quartz, to which small quantities of resin and pigments are added. The end result is a product that is stronger than natural stone, with zero porosity.

What is the difference between COMPAC Technological Quartz and other surfaces with a similar composition?

Does it deteriorate due to humidity?

This material is resistant to water and to humidity. It is a vacuum-compacted material with zero porosity so it is impervious to water.

Does it stain easily?

It is highly resistant to stains and dirt in general, although it is recommended these surfaces be cleaned regularly.

Is it a hygienic surface?

Thanks to its zero porosity, dirt cannot get inside, so no germs can grow.

Can it be scratched?

Technological Quartz is a material that is highly resistant to scratching. Nevertheless, it is recommended that cutting or chopping boards be used instead of cutting directly on this material.

Can hot pots and pans be placed on quartz countertops?

It is not recommendable to place hot pots or pans straight off the flame on quartz countertops. It is best to use a countertop protector pad or similar.

Is it recommended for use outdoors?

It should not be placed in locations subject to intense direct sunlight or exposed to UV rays.

Does it lose its color over time?

Proper maintenance and shielding from UV rays will allow the color of the countertop to remain unaltered in normal daily use.

Can the surface be polished?

As opposed to COMPAC Technological Marble, quartz products should not be polished under any circumstances.

How should I maintain Technological Quartz surfaces?

COMPAC Technological Quartz only requires regular cleaning using a pH-neutral product or detergent, a rinse-off with water and drying with a kitchen cloth or paper towel.

How do I remove stains of oils and grease, wine, vinegar, lemon, soft drinks, coffee, etc.?

Just wipe with a damp cloth dipped in a pH-neutral detergent, rinse off with water and dry.

What's the treatment for grease stains, lime scale or silicon remains?

Grease stains: dilute a small amount of detergent in water and rub the stain with a cloth. Then rinse off with water. Lime scale stains: Pour vinegar (or any weak diluted acid) onto the surface and leave it to work for 1 minute. Rinse off with water. Silicone stains: Remove using a sharp blade and a little solvent (such as ethanol).

Is Technological Marble a natural stone material or is it synthetic?

 COMPAC Technological Marble is composed of 91-96% pure natural marble, to which small quantities of resin and pigments are added. The result is a highly versatile product that enables you to choose new colors and textures.

How is Technological Marble made?

Natural marble is crushed and ground and then compacted using vibro-compression following an “engineered stone” process.

What is the difference between Technological Marble and natural marble?

COMPAC Technological Marble presents a more homogeneous color, it is lighter and its aesthetic possibilities are more versatile than natural marble.

Does it deteriorate due to humidity?

This material is resistant to water and to humidity. It is a vacuum-compacted material with zero porosity so it is impervious to water.

Since it is an impermeable surface, it prevents germ growth of any kind and dirt cannot penetrate it.

This material is perfect for use outdoors, for example as façades for homes and buildings of all kinds.

Does it lose its color over time?

These marble products are just as consistent as natural stone, ensuring that the color will remain unaltered in normal daily use.

Can the surface be polished?

Not only can it be polished, but it is recommended that Technological Marble be polished periodically to preserve its original gloss and appeal.

How should I maintain Technological Marble surfaces?

For small and medium-sized areas, traditional cleaning and maintenance procedures should be used (cloth, broom, mopping, dust mop). If the flooring must be washed, always use a neutral detergent. For large-scale surfaces, cleaning and maintenance operations should be carried out by specialized firms.
