During the month of Ramadan, Dubai TV will air special programs by Chef Osama sharing traditional and nutritious dishes that will help to withstand the fasting hours. The set, designed by Amr Ahmad, has BIO Technological Quartz countertops colours- Imperial and Portoro.
Ramadan is the most important month for Muslims, celebrated on the ninth month of the lunar calendar and is one of the five pillars of Islam along with prayer, the witness of faith, social contribution and pilgrimage. The holy month is not only about abstaining from eating; it is a way towards self-purification and spirituality by renouncing mundane pleasures and understanding the hardships of the less fortunate. This involves removing negative and immoral behaviors and showing solidarity towards those in need by making donations or contributions for their benefit. There is a lot of preparation involved in aligning the mind and body in practising this obeisance and Chef Osama is hoping to help ease this transition with his culinary ideas.
